Fees
Keilor Dental is a mixed billing practice with bulk billing available only to healthcare card holders, pensioners, and children under 16 years.
It is our policy that accounts are settled on the day of consultation and payment is accepted by credit card, EFTPOS or cash.
The practice is able to process Medicare rebates onto your debit card at the time of settling the account for eligible services.

Standard Out of pocket – Long Out of pocket – Prolong Out of pocket – Telehealth Appointments
Telehealth appointments are offered at 4,064.72₹ () for a standard consultation attracting a Medicare rebate. The out of pocket fee is approximately 1,896.87₹ ().
Overseas Students
We offer direct billing for overseas students with OSHC with Medibank/AHM and NIB only, with a GAP payment on the day of 1,354.91₹ ().

Medical consumables used as part of your treatment may attract a separate fee.
Procedural fees will vary according to the type and complexity – please enquire prior to your appointment.
For your convenience, we stock a wide range of travel and other vaccines – please ask reception for individual prices or book in for a travel vaccination consultation with one of the doctors.
After hours medical care
For after hours medical care, please call National Home Doctor 13SICK (13 74 25).
Appointments
An appointment for a standard consultation will be made with your preferred doctor or the next available doctor, depending on your preference.
Extended consultations are available on request. If you anticipate that your consultation will be long, please advise the receptionist when making the appointment.
SMS message reminders for appointment times are sent at 5pm on the day prior to the appointment.
Our appointments are classified and invoiced as follows:

Minor Service (Level A)
A brief service for an obvious problem characterised by the straightforward nature of the task that requires a short patient history and, if required, limited examination and management.

Specific Service (Level B)
A service which requires of the General Practitioner a selective history and examination of the patient, to assess and manage the problem.

Extended Service (Level C)
A service distinguished by more complex tasks required of the general practitioner when confronted with several alternative diagnoses which require a detailed history, multiple system examination, possible investigations and management.

Comprehensive Service (Level D)
A service that requires of the general practitioner a complex intellectual process, involving exhaustive history, multiple system examination and the possible arrangement and evaluation of complex investigations in consideration of multiple alternative diagnoses.

Cancellations
We understand that circumstances change and that appointments may no longer be needed. In order to make these available to others, we request that a minimum of 2-hours’ notice is provided to avoid a cancellation fee.Complaints
This practice acknowledges that patient complaints are an important source of customer feedback, and we value the ability to address what we can improve on. Feedback enables us to continue to improve on the service we are offering our community.
Under the Health Services Act 1987 people with complaints should try to resolve them directly with the health service provider, so if you remain unhappy with our response, you may direct your complaint to the Health Services Commissioner at https://hcc.vic.gov.au/ .

Medical Certificates
Medical certificates are available and can be requested at the time of consultation with your doctor. If you require a special consideration certificate, please bring the necessary paperwork to your consultation.Onsite Pathology
Australian Clinical Labs provides onsite pathology with one pathology collection room within our surgery.

Monday – Friday: 8.00am – 3.00pm
Most services are bulk-billed to our patients holding Medicare cards. There may be a fee for some specialised tests not covered by Medicare.
